Internal Vs External Resistance to Change

Reflecting on a quote from Russell Ackoff: "A corporation's external boundaries are generally much more penetrable than its internal ones." This thought has prompted me to consider where I've witnessed this and how it resonates in my own experiences.

Ackoff also states, "It is very difficult for those inside a box to think outside of it." This raises important questions about our perceptions of our current situations. What beliefs do we hold as absolute? What do we think is unattainable or impossible? 

It's essential to ask ourselves: Do we have voices in our lives that encourage us to think differently and challenge our perspectives? 

When we embrace a teachable and humble mindset, we unlock opportunities for ourselves and our teams to view challenges from new angles and develop innovative solutions. 

Consider an area where we may have resigned ourselves to failure, potentially shutting out the insights of those around us. What steps can we take to begin opening doors in that space?
